Vladimir Balasanyan is an architect and artist based in Paris. He graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture. His main interests focus on visual research in architecture, particularly through architectural drawing, which he sees as a tool for exploring architectural concepts.

Fascinated by the abstraction of architectural forms, Vladimir uses graphic research to rethink urban volumes and their impact through colors and proportions. His drawing process is a profound method of architectural creation, demonstrating experimentation and striving to capture the movement and dynamism of elements.

Vladimir's drawings serve as mental portraits, reflecting his design approach. For him, drawing is an essential tool, allowing exploration of an abstraction that cannot be achieved in real architecture. His work delves into the quality of space, forms, proportions, materials, and light. He uses ink and watercolor not only because of the classical tradition of architectural drawing but also because these mediums allow him to explore transparency and layering. This approach helps define form, saturation, contrast, and the balance between elements in a single drawing.

He is also actively engaged in the architectural design process, collaborating with various architectural and design offices, as well as through his personal architectural work.
